HTML

HTML a.k.a Hypertext Markup Language, is the standard scripting language for defining markups on web pages. Later on, you can style those markups with CSS or add life to them with JavaScript. HTML has its own predefined semantics for common elements, like, paragraphs, lists, headings, images, etc.

In this post we will tackle the situation of displaying the heading in largest size. For this purpose you can use predefined semantic elements, h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, and, h6. See the example below.

You can clearly see how the h1 tag automatically adds some predefined styles to the title element and makes it large. You can swap h1 for h2 through h6 as per need. You will get larger to smaller sets of titles.

<h1>Title here</h1> in action.

This is the default way to make a title look larger. Now, in the next section, let’s make a text “Computer Exam” large with the help of the h1 tag.

<h1>Computer Exam</h1>

<h1>Computer Exam</h1>

The HTML syntax <h1>Computer Exam</h1> will make it large as per default styling for h1 tag. You can manipulate that with the help of css i.e. cascaded style sheets, a scripting language that works along side HTML to style everything. We will have a look on that in later posts.

This is how you can easily make larger text headlines and titles.

Now, share this information with your friends and students and make aware them about the uses of HTML in real-life.
